Czapek was founded in 1845 in Geneva and made unique pieces for wealthy clients in the 19th century. Its Czech-born founder Franciszek Czapek was a master clockmaker and author of the first- ever Polish language watchmaking book.

Most significantly, however, was the fact that he had a six-year partnership with Antoni Patek, prior to Patek joining forces with Adrien Philippe and… well, you know the rest about that. In 2011, luxury sector expert Xavier de Roquemaurel and two partners revived the brand and, in 2015, they raised equity through watch lovers and investors to catapult the brand to where it is today.
